Saferight’s new Restraint Technique/Self Recovery lanyard system is designed to stop falls from occurring and reduce suspension intolerance by means of its self-retrieval mechanism.
The system reduces ground clearance from 6 metres to 0.2 metres and dynamic reaction distance from 1.7 metres to 0.2 metres.
The new system is fall arrest rated/certified to AS/NZ 1891.1/3 and the relevant Codes of Practice.

Single Tail
Prevents workers from falling and has a friction reaction distance of 100mm with 4kN shock load in a misuse situation and it is also designed to engineer out the effects of suspension trauma on the human body. It allows the conscious user to be able to “self rescue” to the ground without any assistance from third party emergency services personnel.
Twin Tail
Allows for the rescue recovery of an “unconscious” person who is suspended in a harness to be lowered to the ground without any employee/person putting their life at risk by having to expose themselves to an unprotected edge to rescue the fallen/suspended person. The unconscious person is simply lowered to the ground by activating the retrieval mechanism attached to the anchor.
All lanyards are to be inspected every 6 months (minimum) as required by AS/NZS 1891.4:2009. Saferight offers testing, tagging and inspection services.
