ABOUT THE COURSE

This BSB41419 – Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety offered by Saferight is an Australian nationally recognised qualification.

This qualification applies to individuals working in a work health and safety (WHS) role who provide a broad range of technical knowledge and skills, and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

The qualification applies to those working as supervisors, WHS personnel, and workers in other WHS-related roles who manage risks effectively, apply relevant WHS laws, and contribute to WHS within the workplace in known or changing contexts with established parameters.

The BSB41419 – Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety course has theoretical and practical components and modules are taught by Saferight trainers who have current practical experience in Work, Health and Safety sector.

  • BSBWHS413 – Contribute to implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes
  • BSBWHS414 – Contribute to WHS risk management
  • BSBWHS415 – Contribute to implementing WHS management systems

  • BSBWHS419 – Contribute to implementing WHS monitoring processes

Students may be required to complete some course work outside of the course hours , the trainer will advise at the start of the course.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Present photo I.D. on arrival
  • Complete a ‘Fitness to Complete Training’ form. The student is required to declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation
  • Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test to determine if the applicant has the required skill level to complete the course.
  • Provide a copy of your USI transcript.

CERTIFICATE

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will gain a Statement of Attainment in:

  • BSB41419 – Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance.

SUBSIDY/REBATE/DISCOUNT – CONSTRUCTION TRAINING FUND (CTF)

  • Saferight would like to thank CTF for funding support for construction industry workers.
  • Financial rebate is eligible for successful students/applicants who meet the CTF requirements.
  • The subsidy to eligible students/applicants is $31 per hour multiplied by the duration of training or 70% of the total course fee (the lower value of the two will be chosen).
  • Since Certificate IV is a higher qualification course, students/applicants interested to apply for a CTF rebate will need to submit a CTF application themselves directly on CTF’s website on completion of training (Click here to find out how)
