Changes, Cancellations or Interruptions
Cancellations to any work booked, is considered a breach of contract. As such 100% of the quote cost will still apply and will be invoiced accordingly.
Saferight incurs administrative and other associated costs at the time of work scheduling. Therefore, fees will apply to any work scheduling changes in all situations regardless of the reason.
The following charges apply to changes for work booked:
- Less than 5 business days’ notice from the work start date: 20% of the quote cost.
- Less than 24 hours from the work start date: 30% of the quote cost.
If the client changes the date of the scheduled works, the client must rebook the scheduled works to be completed within 6 months from which the works were originally planned to be completed. The client must reschedule these works for a reasonable time that is agreeable to Saferight. If the client fails to reschedule the works to be completed within 6 months, the job will effectively be considered cancelled and 100% of the works will be invoiced.

Notification is considered received once it is communicated to Saferight. Notification must occur during regular business hours 8:00am to 4:00pm – Monday to Friday. Notifications of cancellation/changes emailed on Friday 5:00pm will only be acknowledged as received on the following Monday at 8:00am.
Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are for uninterrupted works. The client must ensure that the work performed by Saferight is unhindered or uninterrupted.
Any additional costs, not incorporated in the original quote, for which Saferight is not responsible will be assumed by the client. This may include, but is not limited to; delays caused by the client, delays caused by the clients’ associates or contractors, on site damaged caused to Saferight material/equipment, inductions, site delays, strikes, delays caused by weather.
Saferight reserves the right to cancel scheduled works on short notice for any reason. If Saferight cancels the scheduled works, the client will be reimbursed the full quote cost.
Modifications
If Saferight is asked to carry out additions or modifications not incorporated in the original quote, these will be deemed a variation and the quotation will be adjusted accordingly.
Quoted works are to be performed during regular Monday to Friday working hours unless otherwise stated. If work extends beyond regular business hours and regular business days – additional fees and charges will apply and the quote will be modified.
Site Access
The client will ensure Saferight employees are granted site access to allow the quoted works to be completed in an unencumbered manner.
The client will ensure Saferight employees have safe access to the areas where work is required to be completed. Any cost due to work delays due to unsafe site access will be charged to the client.
If on the scheduled day and time of works Saferight technicians are “locked out” or unable to gain access to site, the client will be charged for the delay at a rate of $80 per technician/per hour.
The client must ensure suitable parking arrangements are provided for Saferight workers. Parking fees and charges have not been incorporated into the quote. The client will be charged additional parking fees and costs if incurred.
Quotes submitted do not include time to complete site access forms or inductions. If the Saferight technician is required to complete any type of site induction and/or access procedure, this must be communicated to the Saferight team via email sas@saferight.com.au including an estimated time frame of how long the induction may take. All invoices unless otherwise stated do not include the cost for the technician to complete site inductions. As such, the client will be charged a rate of $80 per hour for client requested inductions.
Default in Payment
All materials and equipment remain the property of Saferight until the final payment for the quoted works has been received.
Should the client default in payment, Saferight has the right to retake possession of the material/goods. To this extent, after giving 48 hours notice to the client, Saferight shall be entitled to enter upon the clients’ premises between 8:00am and 4:00pm to retake possession of the materials/goods.
Saferight may elect not to repossess the materials/goods and instead seek full performance of the contract.
Travel & Accommodation
Unless otherwise specified, all quotes are exclusive of travel time, accommodation, and employee allowances. Any such costs are the responsibility of the client.
Work within a 50km radius of Perth, Western Australia CBD will incur no additional travel time.
Limitations
Saferight shall not be liable for any claim arising out of the performance, non-performance, delay in delivery or of defect in the goods or services provided. Saferight shall not be held liable for any special, indirect, economic or consequential loss or damage howsoever caused (including loss of profit or loss of revenue) whether from negligence or otherwise in connection with the supply, functioning or use of the goods or services supplied.
Maintenance
All equipment installed by Saferight (Platforms, stairs, walkways, ladders, anchor points and static lines) are the responsibility of the owner to maintain on a regular basis.
Inspections
Occupational health and safety standards recommend regular inspections on a 6-monthly period.
Quotation Disclaimer
This quotation is for the above scope of work only. If, on the date of works, it is established that the scope of work differs from this quotation, a variation will be supplied prior to works taking place.
This quotation is for uninterrupted work. Delays caused by site policy, procedures, inductions, weather etc, have not been factored into this quotation as we are unable to predict these events.
This quotation is valid for 30 (thirty) days from the date of quotation. Saferight require a 50% deposit on all COD customer works prior to works commencing. The remaining balance of 50% is required to be paid upon job completion, prior to issuing Certification documents.
