IKAR RETRACTING LANYARD

Retracting lanyards are ideal for many fall arrest applications where the anchor point is within 2m of your exposed edge or there is a need to reduce fall distances This plastic housed or aluminium die-cast fall arrest block is a sturdy, low maintenance device fitted with internal energy absorption. They act as an inertia device, similar to a seat belt, and lock immediately in the event of a fall, reducing both fall distance and forces.

IKAR fall arrest blocks are renowned worldwide for their robust design and engineering excellence. Its ideal application is where the anchor point is overhead, however it has been tested and rated for 360˚ range of use (can be anchored at any point of 360˚). The working load limit is up to 136kg person.

The IKAR has been tested & certified for horizontal works, “falls over an edge” and passed the European EN360 amendment.
Internal energy absorber designed within the housing, ensuring user protection even when the webbing is fully extended. This also aides in reducing the over all size of the device and reduces exposure of external materials to the environment.

TRAINING & INSPECTION

In accordance with AS/NZS 1891.4, all users of height safety equipment must have been trained in its safe use.
Saferight offers a range of Nationally Recognised Height Safety, Confined Spaces and Rescue Courses.
Items should always be visually inspected before and after each use, and undergo inspection by a competent person every 6 months in accordance with AS/NZS 1891.3 and 1891.4
Saferight offers a full inspection service for all Height Safety, Confined Spaces and Rescue equipment.
