Description

Saferight offers harness and other safety equipment testing, tagging and inspection services in accordance with AS/NZS 1891.4:2009. Our engineers and inspectors are professionally trained and competent to inspect and provide recertification for a variety of personal protective equipment.

The Occupational Safety & Health Regulations (OSH) requires that fall arrest equipment and devices provided at the workplace must be inspected at intervals not exceeding 6 months. It is a legal requirement to have your equipment inspected.

Our recertification services are conducted using the most cost efficient methods whilst complying with all legislative guidelines. On completion of the inspections, a detailed electronic copy of a certificate and report will be issued.On completion of the safety equipment inspection, testing and tagging:

– Each piece of equipment is tagged with a serial number, date of manufacture and next inspection date tag

– A certificate for each piece of equipment inspected is issued

Personal protective equipment (PPE) are an effective means of minimizing the risk of working at heights and they can be lifesaving in an event of a fall. It is crucial to ensure they are inspected for continued efficiency and durability.

Equipment used under harsh conditions (i.e. mining industry) such as in wet, dusty, abrasive or corrosive environments, shall be inspected more frequently, generally at twice the frequency specified.
