PRMPFES05B - Use Portable Fire Fighting Equipment
Overview This four hour course will demonstrate how various portable fire protection products are used in emergency situations. The course covers the use of a portable fire extinguisher, a fire hose reel and a fire blanket. All work in this area must be completed in accordance with relevant legislative, industry, customer and organisational requirements, including Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
The practical content of the course ensures that all attendees will actively participate in using a minimum of three listed portable fire fighting equipment. Training can be customised to suit individual workplace equipment.
On successful completion of this unit of competency, candidates can complete other units to form industry skill sets or complete the related Certificate II in Asset Maintenance.

Clothing:Wear normal work clothing and footwear suitable for climbing.
