Maritime Training

MV LISSA SOLKLINT is a 53m, 250 tonne ex Dry Cargo Vessel which has been converted to floating classroom/training facility capable of moving from Port to Port facilities in order to meet customer's training requirements in Coastal and Off Shore areas.

The LISSA's cargo area has been transformed to air-conditioned classrooms with easy access via spiral staircase installed through the deck cargo hatch, capable of multi-access. The LISSA's main deck area can be utilised for numerous activities.

LISSA has an 8 tonne crane capable of launching and recovering Ship's tenders, which are 7.1m Rib (Sealegs) which is fitted with hydraulic wheel systems making the tender amphibious for beach landings where jetty facilities are limited or non existent. The 8.5m Gemini Rib rapid response vessel is capable of 50 knots (2 x 150 Yamaha motors). The 8.5m Abcat work boat is fitted with 2 x 225 Yamaha motors.

The LISSA can be utilised for numerous training activities/programs such as Working Safely at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Isolation Training, Fire Fighting, Evacuation Training (life rafts and life jackets).
