Overview

This course is designed to incorporate the Work Safely at Heights course and provide participants with the skills and knowledge of the equipment and techniques to effectively perform industrial rope access.

 

The practical content of the course covers descent and ascent techniques, changeovers, deviation, re-belays, rope to rope transfers and descent rescue techniques, basic anchor systems and use of ancillary equipment.

 

RECOMMENDATION:  SAFERIGHT recommends participants hold a Work Safely at Heights Certificate (RIIOHS204A) prior to attending the course.

TRAINEE/INSTRUCTOR RATIO: Minimum 4:1 — Maximum 6:1

CLOTHING: Wear normal work clothing and safety boots. Please remove all jewellery prior to course.
