Introduction to Rapid Response

THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED TO ENABLE PARTICIPANTS TO PERFORM THE RECOVERY OF A FALLEN OR SUSPENDED WORKER WITH A RAPID RESPONSE KIT

Overview

The course is designed to enable participants to perform the recovery of a fallen or suspended worker with a rapid response kit to facilitate the prevention and control of suspension intolerance (Pre-Syncope).

 

The practical component gives participants an introduction to the Rapid Response Kit in the rescue of a conscious or unconscious casualty including knots and anchor point selections.

 

RECOMMENDATION:  SAFERIGHT recommends participants hold a Work Safely at Heights Certificate (RIIOHS204A) prior to attending this course.

 

The Work Safely at Heights course covers Legislation, Work Positioning, Fall Arrest, Rope Characteristics, Restraint, Limited Free Fall, Anchor Points, Harness Donning and Inspection of Fall Prevention PPE and Selection, Use and Maintenance (as per AS/NZS 1891.4 : 2009).
