Overview

This course includes the Confined Space Rescue components of the Public Safety Training Package. It is aimed at operator level and is conducted in accordance with the requirements of AS 2865 : 2009 and State Legislation.

 

At the end of the course the participant will be competent in identifying a confined space and its associated hazards, determining the risk, and preparing the entry and performing the rescue of an incapacitated person(s) from within a vessel whilst wearing breathing apparatus.

 

PRE-REQUISITE SAFERIGHT recommends participants hold a Confined Space Entry Certificate (RIIOHS202A—Enter and Work in Confined Spaces OR MSAPMPER205C—Enter a Confined Space and MSAPMPER200C—Work in Accordance with an Issued Permit) prior to attending the Confined Space Rescue course.

TRAINEE/INSTRUCTOR RATIO: Minimum 4:1 — Maximum 8:1

CLOTHING: Wear normal work clothing and safety boots. Please remove all jewellery prior to course.
