BHPBIO - Working at Heights - Supervisor

THIS COURSE IS AIMED AT ANY PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISING WORK CONDUCTED AT HEIGHT ON A BHPBIO SITE

Overview

This course is aimed at any person(s) responsible for superivising work conducted at height on a BHPBIO site.

 

PRE-REQUISITE:  Successful completion of BHPBIO Work Safely at Heights—RIIOHS204A.

 

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to identify legislative and/or site requirements for working at height, understand and evaluate risk assessments for working at height, correctly document and control a working at height permit and understand and apply common working at heights controls, e.g. harnesses, scaffold, etc according to BHP Billiton Iron Ore Working at Heights—Supervisor Procedure TRNIHS-SAF-153.

Note: If training is carried out on site, the client is responsible for travel and accommodation costs.

TRAINEE/INSTRUCTOR RATIO: Minimum 5:1 — Maximum 10:1

ON-SITE DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: Each site must ensure the following: Suitable classroom Site procedures and documentation for working at height Actual or simulated practical sessions for working at height.

CLOTHING: Wear normal work clothing and safety boots. Please remove all jewellery prior to course.
