BHPBIO - Confined Space Permit Issuer

THIS COURSE IS AIMED AT ANY PERSON(S) REQUIRED TO ISSUE CONFINED SPACE PERMITS OR CONTROL CONFINED SPACE WORKING ON A BHPBIO SITE.

Overview

This course is aimed at any person(s) required to issue confined space permits or control confined space working on a BHPBIO site.

 

PRE-REQUISITE:  Satisfactory completion of - BHPBIO Confined Space Entrant/Standby Course and BHPBIO Confined Space Permit Holder Course.

Key Outcomes

DEFINITIONS:
  • Inspect confined space entries in accordance with issue permit.
  • Identify and apply legislative and BHPBIO requirements.
  • List the requirements of each type of permit.
  • Identify, document and control all hazards.
  • Raise and issue confined space entry permits.
  • Monitor work for compliance with issued permit.
  • Withdraw permit in accordance with procedures if required or at end of task.

Note: If training is carried out on site, the client is responsible for travel and accommodation costs.

TRAINEE/INSTRUCTOR RATIO: Minimum 5:1 — Maximum 10:1

ON-SITE DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: Each site must ensure the following: Suitable classroom Site procedures and documentation for confined space working Actual or simulated confined spaces for pratical sessions with a minimum of three different types of entry.

CLOTHING: Wear normal work clothing and safety boots. Please remove all jewellery prior to course.
