This course will enable participants to recognise a confined space according to BHP Billiton Iron Ore Confined Space Procedure MAN-IHS-SAF-005. This course is designed for any person(s) required to enter and work in a confined space on a BHPBIO Site and/or any person(s) required to work as a standby/entry for confined spaces on a BHPBIO Site.
This course comprises an equal theory-practical component ensuring all participants actively participate in confined space entries.

TRAINEE/INSTRUCTOR RATIO: Minimum 5:1 — Maximum 10:1
ON-SITE DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: Each site must ensure the following: Minimum of five servicable harnesses Suitable classroom Actual or simulated confined spaces with a minimum of three different entries.
CLOTHING: Wear normal work clothing and safety boots. Please remove all jewellery prior to course.
