Toys for Timor

SAFERIGHT are proud supporters of the following community and charity organisations:

TOYS FOR TIMOR

Toys for Timor was established by our founder Mack McCormack in 2010. Designed and intended to support families in need in East Timor. This year the vessel LISSA carried donated equiptment from four charity organisations.

1. Toys were donated from the people of Perth and Variety WA, (The Children's Charity).

2. Second hand tools which had been organized from Rotary WA.

3. Medical equiptment from Notre Dame University and Fremantle Hospital.

The donated equipment was transported from Fishing Boat Harbour, Fremantle to Dili Harbour, Timor as an act of goodwill to promote and support the special relationship between Timor and Australia.

Mack McCormack our founder is an ex-SAS member and a current member of the SAS Association. As such, there is a close association with its Second Commando Unit who served in Timor in WWII. Military historians will be aware of the special relationship between the Comandos and their Timor "Guides" who without the assistance of the Guides the Commandos would not have been as successful as they were.
