Deaths and injuries at work resulting from falls are amongst the top priorities for prevention efforts throughout the world.

The approach of the design team at Saferight has been to design equipment for people, not test dummies. When Saferight first entered the field, the company was not satisfied to be constrained by the prevailing standards, and demonstrated in a short space of time what was possible with a creative and innovative approach.

While fall hazards are present in many environments, the risk of injury through falls can be minimised through use of the appropriate equipment, which also improves productivity by enabling workers to concentrate on the tasks in hand whilst being securely attached.

Saferight have been instrumental in the development of the Australian Standard for belts and harnesses, AS/NZS1891. All applicable Saferight products are manufactured to this standard, and many carry the official Standards mark, which means they have been independently tested and meet or exceed the requirements of the standard.

Further details and copies of the standards are available from www.standards.com.au

Saferight is also an ISO9001 certified company and has a strict quality assurance scheme covering all aspects of design and manufacture.
